AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred
Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,590,000.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No.
449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD Southwest) for the cost of
professional services required prior to and during the
construction of the Kiefer, Fishpot and Grand Glaize Phase III
treatment plant expansion and interceptor sewers, Contract E-469,
(Part of Federal Project No. C-290875, Lower Meramec River Basin).
WHEREAS, the District requires specialized consulting
assistance for said engineering services prior to and during the
construction of the Kiefer, Fishpot and Grand Glaize Phase III
treatment plant expansion and interceptor sewers, Contract E-469,
(Part of Federal Project No. C-290875, Lower Meramec River Basin),
and
WHEREAS, an eligibility allowance will be made for the
Federal grant share and State grant share of the advanced funds
when the District receives the Step 3 Construction Grant, and
WHEREAS, when this eligibility allowance is made with
the Step 3 Grant, said funds shall be repaid to the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No.
449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD Southwest)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred
Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,590,000.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD Southwest) for
the cost of professional services required prior to and during the
construction of the Kiefer, Fishpot and Grand Glaize Phase III
treatment plant expansion and interceptor sewers, Contract E-469
(Part of Federal Project No. C-290875, Lower Meramec River Basin).
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 12, 1984.
