AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Million Fifty-eight
Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($8,058,469.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD Southwest) of which
Eight Hundred Five Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-nine Dollars
($805,849.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent
(10%) share; a grant of Six Million Forty-three Thousand Eight
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($6,043,850.00) has been received from the
Environmental Protection Agency, and a grant of One Million Two
Hundred Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Dollars
($1,208,770.00) has been received from the Missouri Department of
Natural Resources for contracts LM-12 (Construction of Grand
Glaize Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion); LM-26 (Construction
of Marshall Road Pump Station, Force Main, and Interceptor); and
LM-27 (Construction of Thornhill Interceptor); Federal Project
numbers C-290875-05 and C-290875-06.
WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of
said project, and
WHEREAS, the District has received a fifteen percent
(15%) grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to
pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said project,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Five Thousand
Eight Hundred Forty-nine Dollars ($805,849.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin -
M.S.D. Southwest) to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost for
Contracts LM-12 (Construction of Grand Glaize Wastewater Treatment
Plant Expansion); LM-26 (Construction of Marshall Road Pump
Station, Force Main and Interceptor); and LM-27 (Construction of
Thornhill Interceptor); Federal Project numbers C-290875-05 and C-
290875-06.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental
Protection Agency of the United States amounts to Six Million
Forty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($6,043,850.00),
which will be deposited in the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec
River Basin - M.S.D. Southwest) and is to pay seventy-five percent
(75%) of the cost for Contracts LM-12 (Construction of Grand
Glaize Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion); LM-26 (Construction
of Marshall Road Pump Station, Force Main and Interceptor); and

appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the contracts for said projects.

Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Dollars ($1,208,770.00), which will
be deposited in the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin -
M.S.D. Southwest) and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost
for Contracts LM-12 (Construction of Grand Glaize Wastewater
Treatment Plant Expansion); LM-26 (Construction of Marshall Road
Pump Station, Force Main and Interceptor); and LM-27 (Construction
of Thornhill Interceptor); Federal Project numbers C-290875-05 and
C-290875-06; and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to
make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the
contracts for said projects.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
