HomeMy Public PortalAbout05795 O R D I N A N C E NO. 5795 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Million One Hundred Thirteen Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-four Dollars ($8,113,724.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD Southwest), of which Eight Hundred Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($811,384.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; a grant of Six Million Eighty- five Thousand Two Hundred Ninety Dollars ($6,085,290.00) has been received from the Environmental Protection Agency, and a grant of One Million Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand Fifty Dollars ($1,217,050.00) has been received from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for contracts LM-13 and LM-14 (Construction of Upper Grand Glaize Creek Interceptor); LM-16, LM-17, and LM-18 (Construction of Fishpot Creek Interceptor); LM-19 (Construction of Fishpot Creek Interceptor and Kiefer Trunk Sewer); LM-20 (Construction of Twin Oaks Interceptor); and LM-21 (Construction of Brightfield Interceptor); Federal Project Number C-290875-05. WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of said project, and WHEREAS, the District has received a fifteen percent (15%) grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said project, 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($811,384.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin M.S.D. Southwest) to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost for Contracts LM-13 and LM 14 (Construction of Upper Grand Glaize Creek Interceptor); LM-16, LM-17, and LM-18 (Construction of Fishpot Creek Interceptor); LM-19 (Construction of Fishpot Creek Interceptor and Kiefer Trunk Sewer); LM-20 (Construction of Twin Oaks Interceptor); and LM-21 (Construction of Brightfield Interceptor); Federal Project Number C-290875-05. Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States amounts to Six Million Eighty-five Thousand Two Hundred Ninety Dollars ($6,085,290.00), which will be deposited in the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin - M.S.D. The grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources amounts to One Million Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand Fifty Dollars ($1,217,050.00), which will be deposited in the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin - M.S.D. Southwest) and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost for Contracts LM-13 and LM-14 (Construction of Upper Grand Glaize Creek Interceptor); LM-16, LM-17, and LM-18 (Construction of Fishpot Creek Interceptor); LM-19 (Construction of Fishpot Creek Interceptor and Kiefer Trunk Sewer); LM-20 (Construction of Twin Oaks Interceptor); and LM-21 (Construction of Brightfield Interceptor); Federal Project Number C-290875-05 and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said projects. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 28, 1984
