AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from Missouri Portland Cement Company certain
real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri and St. Louis
County, Missouri, for use as an ash disposal site.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to purchase from
Missouri Portland Cement Company, the following real property in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri and St. Louis County, Missouri,
for use as an ash disposal site, at a price not to exceed One
Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00), said property to be free from all
encumbrances, and described as follows: A tract of land being partly of "Burke's Subdivision of Prospect Hill" lying partly in U.S. Survey 1957, Township 46 North - Range 7 East, St. Louis County, Missouri, and in Blocks 4314 A and B and out lot 117 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owner of a Special Warranty Deed in proper form, being
free from liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land
to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby
authorized and directed to pay to said owner, for the said real
property, the total balance due of Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($950,000.00).
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 26, 1984.
