O R D I N A N C E NO. 5903
AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 5469, adopted
January 11, 1984, prescribing the times for holding regular and
special meetings of the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District, and enacting a new ordinance in lieu thereof
on the same subject.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Ordinance No. 5469, adopted January 11,
1984, is hereby repealed.
Section Two. The Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District shall hold regular meetings on the second
and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the hour of 2:00 P.M. In
the event that such day falls on a legal holiday, the regular
meeting shall be held on the preceding day at the designated hour.
The Board of Trustees may, by order, designate those Wednesdays
on which no regular meeting shall be held.
Section Three. All regular meetings shall be held in
the Board Room of the District's main office and shall be open to
the general public.
Section Four. The Board of Trustees may hold special
meetings whenever, in the opinion of the Board, the business and
interest of the District may so require. Such special meetings
may be held at such time and place as the Chairman may designate.
It shall be the duty of the Chairman to call a special meeting
upon the request of any two members of the Board.
Section Five. Notice of the time and place of such
special meeting shall be given to all members of the Board by the
Secretary-Treasurer in the manner as may be prescribed by
resolution of the Board, and by publication thereof at least three
(3) days prior thereto by publication in a newspaper of general
circulation within the boundaries of the District, or by posting
of notice thereof in three (3) public places in the City of St.
Louis and in three (3) public places in that portion of the
District in St. Louis County for at least three (3) days prior to
the date of such special meeting.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 27, 1985.
