HomeMy Public PortalAboutConservation Commission -- 2011-04-05 Agenda PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE Town of Brewster Conservation Commission Brewster Town Offices, 2198 Main Street, Brewster, MA 02631 Tuesday, April 5, 2011 7:00 PM AGENDA Public Hearings Under MA General Law 131, §40, Wetlands Protection Act Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (M.G.L.C.131. §40) And Code of the Town of Brewster Chapter 172, Brewster Wetlands Protection By-law Requests for Determination of Applicability The Town of Brewster Superintendent, Department of Public Works, proposes to install collection and infiltration facilities to treat runoff and alleviate the existing volume of untreated runoff currently discharging to the coastal beach via an existing outfall pipe; work to occur within 50 feet of a coastal beach, on 0 Saint's Landing, Assessors' Map 3, Parcel 2. NSTAR Electric.., Inc., proposes to install gates and barriers within utility right of way (ROW) 346 off Hazel Lane, Mill Pond Drive and Canoe Pond Drive, Assessors' Maps 35, Parcel 8-3 and 36, Parcels 87 and 233. Notices of Intent (Continued Hearing)The Town of Brewster Department of Public Works proposes stormwater improvements at Paines' Creek Road North, removal of an existing asphalt parking lot at Paine's Creek Beach and clearing, leveling and laying stone for a small parking and turning area southeast of the existing parking lot. Work is proposed in and/or within 50 and 100 feet of a coastal dune, coastal beach, barrier beach, salt marsh, land subject to coastal storm flowage and a riverfront. 0 Paine's Creek Road, Assessors' Map 1, Parcel 6. (This Notice of Intent was amended to eliminate the formerly proposed stormwater improvements at 0 Saint's Landing) Chris Miller representing the Town of Brewster proposes to construct a wooden stairway on a coastal dune to mitigate erosion from the coastal dune caused by foot traffic, on 0 Breakwater Road, Assessors' Map 4, Parcel 55-1. Edward and Elizabeth D'entremont propose to construct an addition to a single family dwelling, including a screened porch within 50+ feet of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland, and upgrade an existing septic system, on 63 Daisy Lanae, Assessors' Map 24, Parcel 58. (Continued Hearing) Bruce Schultz proposes to remove and replace an existing septic tank and pump chamber with a septic system meeting Title V of the MA Sanitary Code. May 2, 2011 Annual Town Meeting Article No. 22: Land Use for Renewable Energy To see if the Town will vote, pursuant to G.L. chapter 40 section 15A, to authorize the transfer of the care, custody, management and control of three parcels shown on Brewster Assessors' Map 46, Lots 12-2, 12-3 and 12-5, to the Board of Water Commissioners for public water supply, watershed protection and passive recreation purposes pursuant to G.L. chapter 40, section 39B, and to authorize the Board of Selectmen, if necessary, to petition each branch of the General Court to effect this transfer, or to take any other action relative thereto.
