HomeMy Public PortalAbout05939 O R D I N A N C E NO. 5939 AN ORDINANCE amending Section Two of Ordinance No. 4981, adopted March 9, 1983, and revising the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 583 (Summit & Longview) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 4981, adopted March 9, 1983, is hereby amended by revising the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 583 (Summit & Longview), as set forth in Section Two thereof, to exclude an area described as follows: Area 1 Beginning at the northernmost corner of Lot 67 of "CITY FARMS", a subdivision, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 29, Page 43 of the St. Louis County Recorder's office, said point being in the south line of Summit Avenue, 40 feet wide; thence southwestwardly along the northwestern line of said Lot 67 to the westernmost corner thereof; thence southeastwardly along the southwestern line of said Lot 67 and continuing southeastwardly along the southwestern line of Lot 12 of said "CITY FARMS" to its intersection with the northeastward prolongation of the southeast line of property conveyed to Walter Landes and Helen Landes, his wife, by deed recorded in Book 2575, Page 614 of the St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence southwestwardly along said northeastward prolongation and along said southeast line of the Walter and Helen Landes property to the southernmost corner thereof; thence northwestwardly along the southwest line of said Walter and Helen Landes property to the westernmost corner thereof; thence northeastwardly along the northwest line of said Walter and Helen Landes property to the southernmost corner of Lot 72A of said "CITY FARMS"; thence northwestwardly along the southwest line of said Lot 72A to the westernmost corner thereof; thence northeastwardly along the northwest line of said Lot 72A to the northernmost corner thereof, said point being in the west line of Lot 72 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence northwardly along said west line of Lot 72 to the northernmost corner thereof, said point being in the south line of Summit Avenue; 40 feet wide; thence eastwardly along said south line of Summit Avenue to the point of beginning. 2 The Board of Trustees, pursuant to an engineering investigation, finds that the owners of said described area desire to be excluded, and said exclusion will be a cost benefit to the remainder of said Subdistrict No. 583. Section Two. Section Two of said Ordinance No. 4981 as hereby amended, shall read as follows: "Section Two." The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 583 (Summit & Longview) shall be as follows: 3 SUMMIT & LONGVIEW Beginning at the southernmost corner of Lot 20 of "CITY FARMS", a subdivision, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 29, Page 43 of the St. Louis County Recorder's office, said point being the easternmost corner of property conveyed to Clarence E. Landes and Mildred B. Landes, his wife, by deed recorded in Book 2562, Page 349 of the St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence northwestwardly along the southwest line of said Lot 20 a distance of 192.27 feet to a point; thence southwest and at right angles to said southwest line of Lot 20 a distance of 80.00 feet to a point; thence northwestwardly along a line being 80.00 feet southwestwardly of and parallel to said southwest line of Lot 20 a distance of 300.00 feet to its intersection with the northwest line of said Landes property; thence northeastwardly along said northwest line a distance of 80.00 feet to the northernmost corner thereof, said point being in the southwest line of said "CITY FARMS"; thence northwestwardly along said southwest line of "CITY FARMS" to the westernmost corner of Lot 67 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence northeastwardly along the northwest line of said Lot 67 to the northernmost corner thereof, said corner being in the south line of Summit Avenue, 40 feet wide; thence northwestwardly along said south line of Summit Avenue to its intersection with the southward prolongation of the west line of Lot 73 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence northwardly along said southward prolongation and along said west line of Lot 73 to the northwest corner thereof; thence eastwardly along the north line of Lots 73 through 79 of 4 said "CITY FARMS" to the northeast corner of said Lot 79, said point being in the west line of Longview Drive, 40 feet wide; thence southwardly along said west line of Longview Drive to the southeast corner of said Lot 79, said point being in the north line of Summit Avenue, 40 feet wide; thence generally east along said north line of Summit Avenue to the southwest corner of Lot 5 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence northwardly along the west line of said Lot 5 to the northwest corner thereof; thence eastwardly along the north line of Lots 5 through 10 of said "CITY FARMS" to the northeast corner of said Lot 10; thence southwardly along the east line of said Lot 10 and along its southward prolongation to its intersection with the westward prolongation of the north line of Lot 66 of said "CITY FARMS", thence eastwardly along said westward prolongation and along said north line of Lot 66 to a point being 80.00 feet northeastwardly of and at right angles to the northeast line of Lot 65 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence southeastwardly along a line being 80.00 feet northeastwardly of and parallel to said northeast line of Lot 65 a distance of 200.00 feet to a point; thence southwestwardly and at right angles to said parallel line to its intersection with the southwest line of said Lot 65; thence southeastwardly along said southwest line of Lot 65 to the northeast corner of Lot 60 of said "CITY FARMS", thence northwestwardly along the north line of said Lot 60 a distance of 30.04 feet to a point, said point being distant 260.00 feet eastwardly of the east line of Esther Avenue, 30 feet wide; thence southwardly along a line being 260.00 feet eastwardly of and parallel to said east line of Esther Avenue to its 5 intersection with the south line of Lot 57 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence southeastwardly along said south line of Lot 57 to the southeast corner thereof; thence southwestwardly in a straight line to an angle point in the north line of Longview Drive, 30 feet wide, said point being 191.9 feet northeastwardly of the westernmost corner of Lot 56A of said "CITY FARMS"; thence southwestwardly across said Longview Drive to an angle point in the south line of said Longview Drive, said point being the northernmost corner of Lot 99 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence southwestwardly across said Lot 99 to a point in the southwest line of said Lot 99, said point being 80.00 feet southeastwardly of the westernmost corner of said Lot 99; thence southeastwardly along said southwest line of Lot 99 to the southernmost corner thereof; thence southwestwardly along a line being 106.00 feet southeastwardly of and parallel to the southeast line of Longview Drive, 30 feet wide, across Lots 98 through 94 of said "CITY FARMS" to a point in Lot 94 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence southwestwardly along a straight line being 106.00 feet southeastwardly of and parallel to said southeast line of Longview Drive across the remainder to Lot 94 and across Lots 93 and 92 of said "CITY FARMS", to a point in the southwest line of said Lot 92; thence southwestwardly across Lot 91 of said "CITY FARMS" to the southwest corner of said Lot 91, being the southeast corner of Lot 85 of said "CITY FARMS"; thence westwardly along the south line of said Lot 85 and along its westward prolongation to the aforementioned southernmost corner of Lot 20, being the point of beginning. 6 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 27, 1985.
