COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, JANUARY 2, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
The City Council “Pre-Meeting” of January 2, 2018, was convened at 5:46 P.M. by
Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schreiber, Ward, and Wiseman
Absent: Henry
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Miscellaneous Agenda Items
- Mayor Tergin will present a retirement proclamation to Phyllis Powell, City
Clerk.
Public Hearing
- Eric Barron, Planning Manager will present pending Bill 2017-105, a bill
amending Chapter 8 pertaining to Historic Preservation Review of Demolition
Proposals.
- Mr. Barron will present pending Bill 2017-106 pertaining to short term rentals.
Announcements
- Sonny Sanders, Director of Planning & Protective Services will present
information on Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Citizen Engagement.
Bills Pending
- David Bange, City Engineer, will present Bills 2017 -95, 2017-96, 2017-97,
2017-98, 2017-99, 2017-100, and 2017-101.
- Bryan Wolford, Assistant City Counselor, will present Bills 2017-102, 2017-
103, and 2017-104 pertaining to the April 3, 2018 election. Councilwoman
Wiseman, sponsor of 2017-102 indicated that she will place the bill on the
informal calendar. Councilman Hussey, sponsor of 2017-103 and 2017-104
indicated that he will place the two bills on the informal calendar.
