AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Five Hundred
Sixteen Thousand Dollars ($5,516,000.00) from the Mississippi
River Construction Fund of which Five Hundred Fifty-one Thousand
Six Hundred Dollars ($551,600.00) is to be used to pay the
District's ten percent (10%) share; a grant of Four Million One
Hundred Thirty-seven Thousand Dollars ($4,137,000.00) is
anticipated from the Environmental Protection Agency and a grant
of Eight Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand Four Hundred Dollars
($827,400.00) is anticipated from the Missouri Department of
Natural Resources for Contracts E-487 (Engineering Services during
construction of the Lemay Interceptor) and C-1142 (Construction of
the Lemay Interceptor), Federal Project C-290640-05.
WHEREAS, the District anticipates a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of
said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant is anticipated
from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay fifteen
percent (15%) of the cost of said project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Fifty-one
Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($551,600.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Mississippi River Construction Fund to pay ten percent
(10%) of the cost for Contracts E-487 (Engineering Services during
construction of the (Lemay Interceptor) and C-1142 (Construction
of the Lemay Interceptor), Federal Project C-290640-05.
Section Two. The anticipated grant from the
Environmental Protection Agency, of the United States amounts to
Four Million One Hundred Thirty-seven Thousand Dollars
($4,137,000.00), which will be deposited in the Mississippi River
Construction Fund and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the
cost for Contracts E-487 the (Lemay Interceptor) and C-1142
(Construction of the Lemay Interceptor), Federal Project C-290640-
05; and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said
payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for
said project.
Section Three. The anticipated grant from the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources amounts to Eight Hundred Twenty-
seven Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($827,400.00), which will be
deposited in the Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to
pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost for Contracts E-487
(Engineering Services during construction of the Lemay
Interceptor) and C-1142 (Construction of the Lemay Interceptor),
Federal Project C-290640-05; and said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the contracts for said project.
Section Four. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1985.
