AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owners thereof certain real
property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, for use as offices
for the Planning and Construction Departments of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to purchase from
the owners thereof, the following real property in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri, for use as offices for the Planning and
Construction Departments of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District at a price not to exceed Two Hundred Seventy-eight
Thousand Dollars ($278,000.00), said property to be free from all
encumbrances, said property described as follows: A triangular tract of land in Block 1694 of the City of St. Louis, together with a former alley 25 feet wide, vacated by City of St. Louis Ordinance No. 50086, and being more particularly described as follows: Bounded West by the East line of Knox Avenue and having a front thereon of 224.594 feet, more or less, North and East by the Right of Way of the River des Peres Drainage Works and South by the Right of Way of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad Company, known and numbered as 1824 Knox Avenue.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owner of a General Warranty Deed in proper form, being
free from liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land
to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby
authorized and directed to pay to said owners, for the said land,
the total sum of Two Hundred Seventy-eight Thousand Dollars
($278,000.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 26, 1986.
