WHEREAS, the management of open burning throughout Grand County is in the best
interest of the safety and weIl-being of residents of Grand County and the Town of
Fraser, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has adopted a resolution implementing
the Grand County Open Burning Management Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Open Burning Management Plan provides for the a unified and
coordinated multi-jurisdictional permitting process, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town of Fraser Board of Trustees to reduce the danger
of wildfires in the region.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED THAT:
The Town of Fraser hereby requests that the Grand County Natural Resources
Department administer the Open Burning Management Plan within the Town of Fraser
and delegates authority accordingly.
