AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy-three
Thousand Dollars ($273,000.00) from the Mississippi River
Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Walton-Betty Lee Storm Channel (S-2225, C-
1237), in the City of St. John, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Two Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-two
Dollars ($249,942.00), and the cost of inspection, construction
staking, advertisement costs, easement charges and allowance for
construction change orders is Twenty-three Thousand Fifty-eight
Dollars ($23,058.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Ninety-one Thousand Dollars ($91,000.00) toward the total costs of
said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source,
said money will be returned to the Mississippi River Operating
Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City of St. John, Missouri, pursuant to
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed to
contribute Ninety-one Thousand Dollars ($91,000.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River
Operating Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy-three
Thousand Dollars ($273,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Walton-Betty Lee Storm Channel
(S-2225, C-1237), in the City of St. John, Missouri.
Section Two. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 13, 1986.
