AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty-four
Thousand Dollars ($144,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des
Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in East Jackson No. 619 Phase II-III (85049), in the City
of Webster Groves, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is One Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Eight Hundred Sixteen
Dollars ($132,816.00), and the cost of inspection, construction
staking, advertisement costs, easement charges and allowance for
construction change orders is Eleven Thousand One Hundred Eighty-
four Dollars ($11,184.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Forty-eight Thousand Dollars ($48,000.00) toward the total costs
of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source,
said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the Seminary Branch of River des
Peres, and
WHEREAS, the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, has
agreed to contribute Forty-eight Thousand Dollars ($48,000.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the
Seminary Branch of River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty-four
Thousand Dollars ($144,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the
Seminary Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in East Jackson No. 619 Phase
II-III (85049), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 27, 1986.
