AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owners thereof certain real property
in St. Louis County, Missouri, for the construction of the
Meramec Bottoms Pump Station.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to purchase from
the owners thereof, the following real property in St. Louis
County, Missouri, for the construction of the Meramec Bottoms Pump
Station, at a price not to exceed Twenty-eight Thousand Dollars
($28,000.00), said property to be free from all encumbrances, said
property described as follows: A tract of land in portion of Lot 4 of the Jacob Wickerham Estate Partition (St. Louis Land Court Cause No. 161, Book 158 at Page 441, City of St. Louis Records) lying within United States Survey No. 1341, Township 43 North, Range 6 East, Fifth Principal Meridian, located in St. Louis County, Missouri and further described as follows: COMMENCING at an existing iron pipe marking the northwesterly corner of said Lot 4; thence South 23 degrees 01 minutes 00 seconds West (the basis of bearings for the hereinafter described tract of land) along the westerly line of said Lot 4 and the centerline of Meramec Bottom (40 feet wide) Road 1350.56 feet to an existing cross cut on concrete bridge deck; thence South 36 degrees 42 minutes 00 seconds East 23.16 feet to the easterly line of said road and POINT OF BEGINNING of the following described tract of land; thence South 36 degrees 42 minutes 00 seconds East 484.48 feet to a point on a line which is parallel with and 10.60 feet westerly of the westerly line of land now or formerly of W.C. Porta (Book 2022 at Page 53, St. Louis County Records); thence South 23 degrees 12 minutes 00 seconds West along said parallel line 953.82 feet; thence North 66 degrees 59 minutes 00 seconds West 265.32 feet; thence North 23 degrees 01
minutes 00 seconds East 668.13 feet; thence North 66 degrees 59 minutes 00 seconds West 150.00 feet to the easterly line of aforesaid road; thence North 23 degrees 01 minutes 00 seconds East along said easterly line 530.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owner of a General Warranty Deed in proper form, being
free from liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land
to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby
authorized and directed to pay to said owners, for the said land,
the total sum of Twenty-eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 27, 1986.
