AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-four Thousand Dollars
($64,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD
Southwest) for the cost of professional services required during
the initial one year operation of the Grand Glaize/Fishpot/Kiefer
Creek Facilities, Contract E-612 (Part of Federal Project No. C-
290875, Lower Meramec River Basin).
WHEREAS, the District has applied for a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of
said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been applied
for from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay
fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said project, and
WHEREAS, when any grant funds are received, said funds
shall be repaid to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No. 449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD
Southwest), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty-four Thousand Dollars
($64,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Subdistrict No.
449 (Meramec River Basin - MSD Southwest) for professional
services required during the initial one year operation of the
Grand Glaize/Fishpot/ Kiefer Creek Facilities, Contract E-612
(Part of Federal Project No. C-290875, Lower Meramec River Basin).
Section Two. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 1, 1986.
