HomeMy Public PortalAbout06864 O R D I N A N C E NO. 6864 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($157,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in 531 Goethe Storm Sewer Relief (S-2127, C-1265), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Forty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty- four Dollars ($147,764.00), and the cost of inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs and allowance for construction change orders is Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty- six Dollars ($9,736.00), and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute Fifty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($52,500.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek, and WHEREAS, the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, has agreed to contribute Fifty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($52,500.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($157,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in 531 Goethe Storm Sewer Relief (S-2127, C-1265), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. This Ordinance, being an appropriation Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 19, 1986.
