AN ORDINANCE, transferring One Hundred Seventeen
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($117,500.00) from the Mississippi
River Operating Fund to the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres, and appropriating Seven Hundred Five Thousand
Dollars ($705,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Trenton Creek Storm Sewer Phases II & III (S-
1894, C-1267), in the City of Overland, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Six Hundred Eighty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-
three and 45/100 Dollars ($687,563.45), and the cost of
inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs and
allowance for construction change orders is Seventeen Thousand
Four Hundred Thirty-six and 55/100 Dollars ($17,436.55), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Two Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($235,000.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University
City Branch of River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the City of Overland, Missouri has agreed to
contribute Two Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($235,000.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improvement Fund of the
University City Branch of River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventeen
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($117,500.00) is hereby transferred
from the Mississippi River Operating Fund to the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University
City Branch of River des Peres.
Section Two. The sum of Seven Hundred Five Thousand
Dollars ($705,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University
City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Trenton Creek Storm Sewer
Phases II & III (S-1894, C-1267), in the City of Overland,
Missouri.
Section Three. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 28, 1987.
