HomeMy Public PortalAbout06921 O R D I N A N C E NO. 6921 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Chrysler Motors Corporation whereby the District will construct, operate and maintain a pump station, force main, directional drilling tunnel below the Meramec River, and other appurtenant facilities to convey sanitary and industrial wastewater from the Chrysler Motors Corporation's Fenton, Missouri Plant to the District's Grand Glaize Treatment Plant. WHEREAS, Chrysler Motors Corporation will pay a connection fee of Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,800,000.00) to the District which will be applied toward the aforesaid construction project, and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri will provide One Million One Hundred Ten Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($1,110,900.00) in the form of an Industrial Development Grant, to be applied toward the aforesaid construction project, and WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will provide up to One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to be derived from investment interest earned on the escrow of Chrysler Motors Corporation's connection fee, to be applied toward the aforesaid project, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Chrysler Motors Corporation whereby the District will construct, operate and maintain a pump station, force main, directional drilling tunnel below the Meramec River, and other appurtenant facilities to convey sanitary and industrial wastewater from the Chrysler Motors Corporation's Fenton, Missouri Plant to the District's Grand Glaize Treatment Plant. Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this Ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the Legal Department of the District. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 28, 1987.
