HomeMy Public PortalAbout2769-1973 - Zoning - 1811 S. 9th St - R-2 to R-4r '0 ORDINANCE No. 2769-1973 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING OPDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED .TUNE 3, 1968. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 designates and describes as R-2 Cne-Family Residence District the following described property located at 1811 South 9th Street, in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point twenty-six and twenty-two hundredths (26.22) rods south and three hundred thirty-six (336.00) feet east of the northwest corner of the said southwest quarter of Section 9, Township 13, Range 1 West; thence eastwardly two hundred forty-nine and nine hundredths (249.09) feet to the south right -Of -way line of the C. & 0. Railroad, thence east- wardly along the said south line railroad right-of-way, to the west line of Washington Street (now South 13th Street); thence south along the west line of said South 13th Street, to a point three hundred seventy-four and one tenth (374.1) feet north of the south line of the north half of the southwest quarter of Section 9, said point being Rankine' northeast corner; thence southwestwardly along said Rankine' north line two hundred eighty- one (281.0) feet; thence westwardly, nine hundred seven and fifty-five hundredths (907.55) feet to a point three hundred thirty-six feet east of the west line of the southwest quarter of Section 9; thence north, para- llel with said west line of quarter section, six hundred ten and one half (610.5) feet to the place of beginning. Containing 13.95 acres, more or less. EXCEPTING THEREFROM: Being a part of the Southwest quarter of Section Nine (9), Township Thirteen (13), Range One (1) West more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west side of South Thirteenth (13th) Street, fifty (50) feet south of to south right-of-way line of the C. & 0. Rail- road; thence wept one hundred fifty (150) feet; thence south one hundred (100) feet; thence east one hundred fifty (150) feet; thence north along the west line of South Thirteenth (13th) Street, one hundred (100) feet to the place of beginning, cort_aini::g 0.34 acres, more or less and con- taining net acreage of 13.61 acres after deduction of the above exception. SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the ir.tent and purpose hereof to change the Zoning Classification of the above coscribed area from R-2 to R-4 to allow mobile home park. SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan Commission on the 35' day of r "La_i_L , 1973, at which time remon- strances were heard from all parties ifiterested in or affected by this Ordinance. SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was -,� to D 1n favor of/opposition to recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 2769-1973. NOW THEREFORE: SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to R-4 Multi -Family Residence District, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordi- nance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as by law required. SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned areas is hereby recinded and the zoning classification of this area will be in accordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance. page 2 PASSED AND ADOPTa bythe Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, this d day of t. 1973.
