AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Ninety Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($190,500.00) from the Mississippi River
Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Leith-Bobb Phase II (S-1959, C-1285), in the
City of Berkeley, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is One Hundred Seventy-eight Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-five and
10/100 Dollars ($178,565.10), and the cost of inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, and
allowance for construction change orders is Eleven Thousand Nine
Hundred Thirty-four and 90/100 Dollars ($11,934.90), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Sixty-three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($63,500.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River
Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City of Berkeley, Missouri, has agreed to
contribute Sixty-three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($63,500.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Mississippi River Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ninety Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($190,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Leith-Bobb Phase II (S-1959,
C-1285), in the City of Berkeley, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 25, 1987.
