AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-eight Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($58,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Fillmore
#630 (85003), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is Forty-nine Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars
($49,879.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, and
allowance for construction change orders is Eight Thousand Six
Hundred Twenty-one Dollars ($8,621.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($19,500.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek,
and
WHEREAS, the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed to
contribute Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($19,500.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Gravois Creek, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-eight Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($58,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm sewers in Fillmore #630 (85003), in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 25, 1987.
