AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Eighty Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($280,500.00) from the Mississippi River
Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Gloucester-Haddock Phase I (86115), in the City
of Bellefontaine Neighbors and Village of Riverview, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is Two Hundred Sixty-one Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-nine and
50/100 Dollars ($261,959.50), and the cost of inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, and
allowance for construction change orders is Eighteen Thousand Five
Hundred Forty and 50/100 Dollars ($18,540.50), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Ninety-three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($93,500.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River
Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri,
pursuant to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has
agreed to contribute Seventy-eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($78,500.00) toward the total costs of said project, upon the
receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be
returned to the Mississippi River Operating Fund and
WHEREAS, the Village of Riverview, Missouri, has agreed
to contribute Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River
Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($280,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Gloucester-Haddock Phase I
(86115), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors and Village of
Riverview, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 25, 1987.
