AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-three Thousand Five
Hundred Ninety Dollars ($43,590.00) from the Mississippi River
Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Myron Avenue No. 6300-6400 Storm Sewer Project
(87006), in the Village of Velda Village Hills, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is Forty Thousand One Hundred Eighty Dollars ($40,180.00), and the
cost of inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Three Thousand Four
Hundred Ten Dollars ($3,410.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Thirty Dollars ($14,530.00) toward
the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds
from said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi
River Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Velda Village Hills, Missouri,
has agreed to contribute Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Thirty
Dollars ($14,530.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon
the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be
returned to the Mississippi River Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty-three Thousand Five
Hundred Ninety Dollars ($43,590.00) is hereby appropriated from
the Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in Myron Avenue No. 6300-6400
Storm Sewer Project (87006), in the Village of Velda Village
Hills, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 25, 1987.
