HomeMy Public PortalAbout07085 O R D I N A N C E NO. 7085 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Seventy-six Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($176,400.00) from the Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Purdue-Vernon-Pennsylvania Phase II (S-2163, C-1303), in the City of University City, Missouri. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers is One Hundred Sixty Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-three and 50/100 Dollars ($160,883.50), and the cost of inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred Sixteen and 50/100 Dollars ($15,516.50), and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute Fifty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($58,800.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River Operating Fund, and WHEREAS, the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed to contribute Fifty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($58,800.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River Operating Fund, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventy-six Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($176,400.00) is hereby appropriated from the Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Purdue-Vernon- Pennsylvania Phase II (S-2163, C-1303), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 25, 1987. -2-
