AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 C NWNLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHWND, INDIANA, ADOPTED DUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as
follows:
SECTION I. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map, which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-
1968, designates and describes as R-1, Single -Family Residential, upon an-
nexation on February 12, 1973, Ordinance No. 2752-1972, in accordance with
Article 14, Section 14.06, the following described property located in an
area on the south side of Woodside Drive running from National Road East to
to Hayes Arboretum Road, in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more particularly
described as follows:
Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3S, Township 14
North, Range 1 West, Wayne County, Indiana, and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the north right-of-way
line of Woodside Drive and the west right-of-way line of Hayes Ar-
boretum Road, said point being in the City Corporation Line as de-
scribed in Ordinance No. 1951-1962, thence southwestwardly along
the north right-of-way line of Woodside Drive to the north right-
of-way line of U. S. Highway 40 and the present City Corporation
Line as described in the said Ordinance No. 1951-1962, thence East
along said right-of-way line and present City Corporation line as
described in the said Ordinance to the west right-of-way line of
Hayes Arboretum Road; thence north along said west right-of-way line
of Hayes Arboretum and the present City Corporation Line as described
in said Ordinance No. 1951-1962, to the point of beginning, an area
containing 9.7 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning
classification of the above described area from R-1 to C-2, Community Busin-
ess.
SECTION 3. Wf{E ZEES, a study pf this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond
City Plan Commission on day of ,��t 1973, at which time re-
monstrances were heard from all parties intereste in or affected by this Ordin-
ance.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was
to in favor of recommending the passage of Ordinance
27777M.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION S. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above
described property be, and the same is hereby changed to C-2 Community Busines--
District, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Or-
dinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication as by law required.
SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned areas is
hereby recinded and the zoning classification of this area will be in accordance
with Section 2 of this Ordinance.
