AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-three Thousand Two
Hundred Dollars ($73,200.00) from the Mississippi River Operating
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Edison Avenue 7100 Block-Greenway (86182), in the Cities
of Velda Village and Beverly Hills, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is Sixty-seven Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-one Dollars
($67,881.00), and the cost of inspection, construction staking,
advertisement costs, easement charges, and allowance for
construction change orders is Five Thousand Three Hundred Nineteen
Dollars ($5,319.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Twenty-four Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($24,400.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River
Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City of Velda Village, Missouri, pursuant
to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed
to contribute Sixteen Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-six Dollars
($16,266.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the
receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be
returned to the Mississippi River Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City of Beverly Hills, Missouri, pursuant
to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed
to contribute Eight Thousand One Hundred Thirty-four Dollars
($8,134.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the
receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be
returned to the Mississippi River Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-three Thousand Two
Hundred Dollars ($73,200.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Edison Avenue 7100 Block-
Greenway (86182), in the Cities of Velda Village and Beverly
Hills, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 25, 1987.
