AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-eight Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($28,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bernice No. 1031 (S-
1570, C-1300), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is Twenty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Dollars ($23,860.00),
and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking,
advertisement costs, easement charges, and allowance for
construction change orders is Four Thousand Six Hundred Forty
Dollars ($4,640.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($9,500.00) toward the total
costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said
source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, has agreed to
contribute Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($9,500.00) toward
the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds
from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-eight Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($28,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Bernice No. 1031 (S-1570, C-1300), in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 25, 1987.
