BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map, which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325- 1968, designates and describes as M-1. Light Industrial and R-2 One -Family Residential, the following described property located at 626 Indiana Avenue, Richmond, Indiana, and rare particularly described as follows: Being a part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 31, Township 14 North, Range 1 West in the City of Richmond, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north line of Indiana Avenue, said point being 693.00 feet north and 608.75 feet west, para- llel to the south line of the Northeast Quarter of said sec- tion 31, all from the southeast corner of said Northeast Quar- ter, and running thence, from said beginning point, west, along the north line of said Indiana Avenue, 31.00 feet; thence north, parallel to the east line of said Northeast Quarter, 342.375 feet; thence west, parallel to the south line of said North- east Quarter, 300.00 feet; thence south 0 degrees and 08 min- utes east 38.11 feet; thence west, parallel to the south line of said Northeast Quarter, 1103.35 feet; thence south 304.26 feet to a point in the north line of. said Indiana Avenue; thence west, along said north line, 50.00 feet; thence north 304.26 fe- et; thence west, parallel to the south line of said Northeast Quarter, 92.23 feet; thence north 2 degrees and 57 minutes east 1406.22 feet to a point in the centerline of the Pennsylvania Railroad; thence south 63 degrees and 01 minute east, along said centerline 1982.13 feet; thence south, parallel to the east line of said Quarter 179.96 feet; thence west, parallel to the south line of said 0uarter, 223.50 feet; thence south, parallel to the east line of said Quarter, 328.60 feet; thence . east 19.00 feet; thence south, parallel to the east line of said Quarter, 342.375 feet to a point on the north line of said Indiana Avenue; thence west 19.00 feet to the place of be- ginning, containing an area of 34.89 acres, more or less. SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the Zon- ing Classification of the above described area from M-1 Light Industrial and from R-2 One -Family Residential to R-4 Multi -Family Residential. SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinwce was conducted by the Richmond City Plan Commission on the 702 day of 1973, at which time remonstrances were heard from a parties Interested in or affected by this Ordinance. SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was y to C in favor of recommending the passage of. Ordinance 278S- n73. Ufu • .� SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to R-4 Multi -Family Re- sidential, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of. Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as by law required. SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned areas is hereby rescinded and the zoning, classification of this area will be in ac- cordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance.
