HomeMy Public PortalAbout07159 O R D I N A N C E NO. 7159 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Seven Hundred Seventy-four Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars ($4,774,140.00) from the Coldwater Creek Extension and Improvement Fund of which Nine Hundred Fifty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-eight Dollars ($954,828.00) is to be used to pay the District's twenty percent (20%) share; a grant of Two Million Six Hundred Twenty- five Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-seven Dollars ($2,625,777.00) is anticipated from the Environmental Protection Agency, and a grant of One Million One Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($1,193,535.00) is anticipated from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for Contracts E-636 (Engineering services during construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement), and 86206 (Construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement), Federal Project C-290952-05. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement is Four Million Sixty Thousand Dollars ($4,060,000.00) and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertising,and allowance for construction change orders is Seven Hundred Fourteen Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars ($714,140.00), and WHEREAS, the District anticipates a fifty-five percent (55%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States to pay fifty-five percent (55%) of the cost of said project, and 2 WHEREAS, a twenty-five percent (25%) grant is anticipated from the Missouri department of Natural Resources to pay twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost of said project. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Fifty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-eight Dollars ($954,828.00) is hereby appropriated from the Coldwater Creek Extension and Improvement Fund to pay twenty percent (20%) of the cost for Contracts E-636 (Engineering services during the construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement), and 86206 (Construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement), Federal Project C-290952-05. Section Two. The anticipated grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States amounts to Two Million Six Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-seven Dollars ($2,625,777.00), which will be deposited in the Coldwater Creek Extension & Improvement Fund and is to pay fifty-five percent (55%) of the cost for Contracts E-636 (Engineering services during construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement), 86206 3 (Construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement), Federal Project C-290952-05, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said project. Section Three. The anticipated grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources amounts to One Million One Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($1,193,535.00) which will be deposited in the Coldwater Creek Extension & Improvement Fund contracts and is to pay twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost for contracts E-636 (Engineering services during construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement) 86206 (Construction of the Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion & Improvement), Project C-290952-05 and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said project. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 27, 1987.
