HomeMy Public PortalAbout07163 O R D I N A N C E NO. 7163 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,100,000.00) from the Improvement Fund which shall consist of an anticipated grant of One Million One Hundred Ten Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($1,110,900.00) from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and connection fees of Two Million Nine Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($2,989,100.00) paid by the Chrysler Motors Corporation, pursuant to Ordinance No. 6921, adopted January 28, 1987, for Contracts E- 565 (Engineering services during the design of the Meramec Sub- Area 5 Facilities), E-637 (Engineering services during construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Facilities), 86161PS (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Pumping Station), 86161FM (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Force Main), and 86161GS (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Gravity Sewer). WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Pumping Station is Two Million Four Hundred Thirty-four Thousand Dollars ($2,434,000.00), the bid for the construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Force Main is Seven Hundred Forty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($745,900.00), and the bid for the construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Gravity Sewer is Two Hundred Thirty-seven Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-one Dollars ($237,421.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertising, and allowance for construction change orders is Six Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars ($682,679.00), and 2 WHEREAS, the District anticipates a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay One Million One Hundred Ten Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($1,110,900.00) of the costs of said projects, and WHEREAS, connection fees of Two Million Nine Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($2,989,100.00) paid by Chrysler Motors Corporation, pursuant to Ordinance No. 6921, adopted January 28, 1987, will be applied toward the costs of said projects, WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The connection fees of Two Million Nine Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($2,989,100.00), paid by Chrysler Motors Corporation, pursuant to Ordinance No. 6921, adopted January 28, 1987, will be deposited in the Improvement Fund and is to be applied toward the costs for Contracts E-565 (Engineering services during the design of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Facilities), E-637 (Engineering services during construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Facilities), 86161PS (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Pumping Station), 86161FM (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Force Main), and 86161GS (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Gravity Sewer), and said 3 amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said project. Section Two. The anticipated grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources amounts to One Million One Hundred Ten Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($1,110,900.00) which will be deposited in the Improvement Fund and is to be applied toward the costs for contracts E-565 (Engineering services during the design of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Facilities), E-637 (Engineering services during the construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Facilities), 86161PS (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Pumping Station), 86161FM (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Force Main), and 86161GS (Construction of the Meramec Sub-Area 5 Gravity Sewer), and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said projects. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 27, 1987.
