AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THE PRESENTLY EXISTING
ABINGTON PIKE, BETWEEN THE CENTER LINE OF THE PRESENTLY
EXISTING S.W. "E" STREET AND THE CENTER LINE OF THE PRES-
ENTLY EXISTING S.W. "G" STREET, TO SOUTHWEST.SECOND STREET.
WHEREAS, Southwest Second Street presently commences at
the center line of West Main Street, and extends
southward to the center line of Southwest "E"
Street, and
WHEREAS, the presently existing Abington Pike meets South-
west Second Street at the center line of South-
west "E" Street
WHEREAS, representatives of the United States Post Office
have requested that the name of the presently ex-
isting Abington Pike between the center line of
the presently existing S.W. "E" Street and the
center line of the presently existing S.W. "G"
Street, in the interest of the more efficient de-
livery of the United States mail, be changed to
Southwest Second Street,
NOW THEREFORE, Be it Ordained by the Common Council of the
City of Richmond, Indiana, that:
Section 1. Pursuant to Burns Indiana Statute 48-1407, the
name of the presently existing Abington Pike in the City of
Richmond, Indiana between the center line of the presently
existing S.W. "E" Street and the center line of the pres-
ently existing S.W. "G" Street, be and is hereby changed to
Southwest Second Street.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Counci of the City of Rich-
mond, Indiana, this Y` day of �.73.
