AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thirty-four
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($334,500.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Lindbergh Park Channel (87135), in the City of Maplewood,
Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is Three Hundred Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-five Dollars
($311,935.00), and the cost of inspection, construction staking,
advertisement costs, and allowance for construction change orders
is Twenty-two Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-five Dollars
($22,565.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
One Hundred Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($111,500.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black
Creek, and
WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri has agreed to
contribute Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) toward the total
costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said
source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek, and
WHEREAS, the City of Maplewood, Missouri, pursuant to
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed to
contribute Sixty-one Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($61,500.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black
Creek, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thirty-four
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($334,500.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Lindbergh Park Channel (87135), in the City of
Maplewood, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 23, 1987.
