AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as
follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map, which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-
1968, designates and describes as C-2 Community Business, the following
described property located at 1313-1317 East Main Street, Richmond, Indiana,
and more particularly described as follows:
West half of Lot 16 and east half of Lot 17 Block B and west
half of Lot 17 in Block B - Mendenhall & Coffin's Addition.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the Zoning
Classification of the above described area from C-2 Community Business to
C-4 General Business District.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance_ was conducted by the Richmond
City Plan Commission on the sr day of ., "_V , 1973, at which
time remonstrances were heard from all parties intefested in or affected by
this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was
to in ftitr-vf/opposition to recommending the passage of Ordinance
No.973.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above
described property be, and the same is hereby changed to C-4 General Business
District and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and publication as by law required.
SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned areas
is hereby rescinded and the zoning classification of this area will be in
accordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance.
