AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District ("District") to enter into
an easement agreement with Union Electric Company ("U.E.") whereby
the District will grant an easement for electric transmission
lines and towers on certain property in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri which is part of the District's Bissell Point Wastewater
Treatment Facility property.
WHEREAS, U.E. currently owns and operates transmission
lines and towers on said property pursuant to an existing lease
and easement agreement, and
WHEREAS, the District has requested that U.E. relocate
a portion of said facilities to accommodate future construction of
the District's Bissell Point expansion project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The District is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an easement agreement with U.E. whereby the
District will grant an easement to U.E. to construct and operate
electric transmission lines and towers on certain real estate
owned by the District and located in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the
District to execute and deliver an easement agreement and all
other documents and instruments necessary to give effect to
Section One hereof.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 16, 1987.
