HomeMy Public PortalAbout07282 O R D I N A N C E NO. 7282 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or drainage facilities of the District and the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict; and WHEREAS, petitions signed by a majority of the owners of the land in said area, who are also the owners of more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation of said area by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and by the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict and setting forth the boundaries of the area to be annexed have been filed with and received by the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict, and that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District and the Subdistrict will be promoted by including the area in their respective territories; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer or drainage facilities of the District and the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict can efficiently serve the area described in Exhibit A, as attached hereto. 2 Section Two. That petitions signed by a majority of the owners of the land in said area, who are also the owners of more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation of said area by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and by the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict and setting forth the boundaries of the area to be annexed have been filed with and received by the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District and the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict, as well as the area proposed to be annexed, will be promoted by including said area in their respective territories. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no other available adequate sewer outlet or treatment facility. Section Five. That the Board of Trustees, after examination and consideration of the facts, hereby grants the petition for annexation of said area, and hereby declares that the corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict are hereby respectively extended so as to include the area described in Exhibit A, as attached hereto. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the 3 Secretary of State. 4 EXHIBIT A A tract of land being part of the Northeast Quarter, the Southeast Quarter and the Southwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 44 North, Range 3 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, St. Louis County, Missouri, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the aforementioned Section 12, said point also being on the Westerly line of a tract of land now or formerly conveyed to the Cherry Hills Control Corp. by deed recorded in Book 6264, Page 247 of the St. Louis County Records; thence South 00 degrees 50 minutes 36 seconds West along the East line of said Southeast Quarter a distance of 1343.64 feet to the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12, said point also being on the North line of EXO Farms, as recorded in Plat Book 170, Page 65 of the St. Louis County Records; thence North 87 degrees 39 minutes 52 seconds West along the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 12, the North line of said EXO Farms tract, the North line of a tract of land now or formerly conveyed to Ronald E. Emig by deed recorded in Book 6842, Page 664, also LaSalle Woods, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 170, Page 70 and a tract of land now or formerly conveyed to William A.
