AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thirty
Thousand Dollars ($330,000.00) from the Mississippi River
Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Weiss Avenue No. 135 & Outfall (87158), in St.
Louis County, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of storm sewers
is Two Hundred Eighty-six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars
($286,250.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, and
allowance for construction change orders is Forty-three Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($43,750.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($110,000.00) toward the total
costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said
source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi River
Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed to
contribute One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($110,000.00) toward
the total costs of said project, upon the receipt of such funds
from said source, said money will be returned to the Mississippi
River Operating Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($330,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Mississippi
River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Weiss Avenue No. 135 & Outfall
(87158), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 14, 1987.
