AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eight Thousand
Dollars ($108,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Subdistrict No. 87081 (Heintz & New Baumgartner), in St. Louis
County, Missouri,
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Ninety Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-six Dollars
($90,526.00), and the costs of engineering, survey, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges,
connection fees, allowance for construction change orders, and
processing and administration of tax bills is Seventeen Thousand
Four Hundred Twenty-four Dollars ($17,424.00), and
WHEREAS, proceedings have been taken for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Subdistrict No. 87081 (Heintz &
New Baumgartner), Fifty-four Thousand Dollars ($54,000.00) of said
construction costs is to be paid for by special tax bills or other
evidence of special benefit assessments upon the land benefited by
such improvement.
WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, has agreed to
contribute Fifty-four Thousand Dollars ($54,000.00) toward the
total costs of said project upon the receipt of such funds from
said source, said money will be returned to the Improvement Fund,
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eight Thousand
Dollars ($108,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Subdistrict No. 87081 (Heintz & New Baumgartner), in St.
Louis County, Missouri pending payment into the Improvement Fund
of the costs hereby appropriated in aid from any source, and from
the proceeds of collection of special benefit assessments levied,
or special tax bills issued, to pay a portion of such costs.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 27, 1988.
