AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-two Thousand Dollars
($32,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres
to be used for project costs for the construction of a gabion wall
in Carter Court No. 11 (87118), in the City of Olivette, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said gabion
wall is Twenty-six Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-nine and 50/100
Dollars ($26,629.50), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement fees and
allowance for construction change orders is Five Thousand Three
Hundred Seventy and 50/100 Dollars ($5,370.50),and
WHEREAS, the City of Olivette, Missouri has agreed to
contribute Sixteen Thousand Dollars ($16,000.00) toward the total
costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said
source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation incurred herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirty-two Thousand Dollars
($32,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University
City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for
the construction of a gabion wall in Carter Court No. 11 (87118),
in the City of Olivette, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 27, 1988.
