Committee on Public Works, Meeting December 7, 2010
Report: December 7, 2010
The Committee met December 7th at 6 pm in the Council Chambers to interview three candidates for
the Environment and Energy Efficiency Committee. Present were: Susan Falkoff, Chair; Steve Corbett,
Vice -chair; and Vincent Piccirilli, Secretary.
Terese Hammerle — appointment to November 15, 2013
William Kahn — reappointment to November 15, 2013
Meredith Fields — reappointment to November 15, 2013
The Committee met individually with the candidates and discussed their past involvement and their
future objectives as members of the Environment and Energy Efficiency Committee. The following
points were noted:
Terese Hammerle has participated in the committee for a number of years as a non-member, and is
now being appointed as a full member. She has worked on the web site, grant writing, and other
activites.
William Kahn, a contractor, has served on the committee for several years, and is interested in the cost
savings that can be realized from implementing energy efficient design.
Meredith Fields has been on the committee for two years and an unofficial participant before that. She
is particularly involved in Watertown becoming a certified "Green Community" and also in hiring an
ESCO to address the energy upgrades for Town owned buildings.
The Committee unanimously approved the three candidates, and recommends confirmation by the full
Town Council.
