HomeMy Public PortalAbout07544 O R D I N A N C E NO. 7544 AN ORDINANCE, transferring One Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($159,600.00) as a loan from the General Fund to the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund, and appropriating One Million Five Hundred Ninety-six Thousand Dollars ($1,596,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund, of which One Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($159,600.00) is to be used to pay the District's share; a grant of One Million One Hundred Ninety-seven Thousand Dollars ($1,197,000.00) is anticipated from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States, and a grant of Two Hundred Thirty- nine Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($239,400.00) is anticipated from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for Contracts E- 469, Amendment No. 1 (engineering services during construction of the Kiefer Creek Watershed Facilities) and LM-23, LM-24 and LM-25 (construction of the Kiefer Creek Interceptor and Klamberg Creek Interceptor), Federal Project C-290875-05; and providing for repayment of the aforementioned loan. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Kiefer Creek Interceptor and Klamberg Creek Interceptor is One Million Four Hundred Sixty Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-three Dollars ($1,460,393.00), and the cost of engineering and allowance for change orders is One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Six Hundred Seven Dollars ($135,607.00), and WHEREAS, the District anticipates a seventy-five percent (75%) grant of the eligible costs of said project from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States, and WHEREAS, the District anticipates a fifteen percent (15%) grant of the eligible costs of said project from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($159,600.00) is hereby transferred as a loan from the General Fund to the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund. Section Two. The sum of One Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($159,600.00) is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to pay the District's share of the costs for Contracts E-469, Amendment No. 1 (engineering services during construction of the Kiefer Creek Watershed Facilities) and LM-23, LM-24 and LM-25 (construction of the Kiefer Creek Interceptor and Klamberg Creek Interceptor), Federal Project C-290875-05. Section Three. The anticipated grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States amounts to One Million One Hundred Ninety-seven Thousand Dollars ($1,197,000.00), which will be deposited in the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund, and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the eligible costs for Contracts E-469, Amendment No. 1 (engineering services during construction of the Kiefer Creek Watershed Facilities) and LM-23, LM-24 and LM-25 (construction of the Kiefer Creek Interceptor and Klamberg Creek Interceptor), 3 Federal Project C-290875-05; and said amount is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to be used to make payments as due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said project. Section Four. The anticipated grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources amounts to Two Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($239,400.00), which will be deposited in the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the eligible costs for Contracts E-469, Amendment No. 1 (engineering services during construction of the Kiefer Creek Watershed Facilities) and LM-23, LM-24 and LM-25 (construction of the Kiefer Creek Interceptor and Klamberg Creek Interceptor), Federal Project C-290875-05; and said amount is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to be used to make payments as due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said project. Section Five. The Director of Finance is hereby directed to repay the loan as authorized in Section One above as funds become available in the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund. Section Six. This Ordinance, being an appropriation Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 14, 1988.
