HomeMy Public PortalAbout2832-1973 - Appropriation - Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund - Preliminary Survey of NW 5th St Phase 1ORDINANCE NO. 2832-1973 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500.00) FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX) TO BE USED FOR R & S #11. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institu- tions for the year ending December 31, 1973, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax) to be used for Preliminary Survey of Northwest 5th Street, the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT REQUESTED AMOUNT APPROPRIATED CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, (CIGARETTE TAX) $2,500.00 $2,500.00 These funds are to be appropriated for the following project: Preliminary Survey of Northwest 5th Street, Phase 1, R & S 911. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
