AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter an amendment to Contract E-561 with Booker
Associates, Inc. for the cost of additional engineering services
for the design of the Meramec Bottoms Interceptor Pump Station
(86143), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 6355, adopted January 22, 1986,
authorized execution of said Contract E-561,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into an amendment to Contract E-561
with Booker Associates, Inc. for the cost of additional
engineering services for the design of the Meramec Bottoms
Interceptor Pump Station (86143), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract amendment authorized in
Section One of this Ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and
conditions as are approved by the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. The provisions of the Clean Water Act of
the United States of America require that this project proceed
without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of
the Plan. Accordingly, this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 1988.
