AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a Contract with Alexander &
Alexander Inc. to design, implement, administer and provide Loss
Control Services for the Owner Controlled Insurance Program during
the construction of the Bissell Point Secondary Treatment
Improvements at the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, the District requires specialized consulting
assistance for said insurance services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
with Alexander & Alexander Inc. to design, implement, administer
and provide Loss Control Services for the Owner Controlled
Insurance Program during the construction of the Bissell Point
Secondary Treatment Improvements at the Bissell Point Wastewater
Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One
of this Ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions
as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the
District.
Section Three. The provisions of the Clean Water Act of
the United States of America require that this project proceed
without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of
the Plan. Accordingly, this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 1988.
