AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2330-1968, THE HUMAN
RELATIONS ORDINANCE AS AUTHORIZED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE STATE OF INDIANA, ACTS OF 1967, CHAPTER 276, SECTION
4, AS AMENDED.
Be it Ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that:
SECTION 1. Section One (1) of Ordinance No. 2330-1968, The
Human Relations Ordinance as Authorized by the General As-
sembly of the State of Indiana, Acts of 1967, Chapter 276, Sec-
tion 4, as Amended, Be Amended to add the following additional
paragraph:
It is desireable to reduce tensions and prevent violence
caused by breakdowns in relations between persons and
groups of various racial, ethnic, and religious back-
grounds, and further, to promote harmony between said
persons and groups.
SECTION 2. Said Ordinance,as amended, shall otherwise remain
in full force and effect.
