AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as
follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968
designates and describes as R-3 One to Eight Family Residential District the
following described property located at 1803, 1829 East Main Street and 19
South 18th Street, in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more particularly described
as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the J.P. Smith Addition to the City of Richmond,
Indiana.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the Zoning
Classification of the above described area from R-3 to R-4.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond
City Plan Commission on the '-day of 1973, at which time
remonstances were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this
Ordinance.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was °/ to
in favor of/Gp^».to recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 2841-
1973.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above
described property be, and the same is hereby changed to R-4 Multi -Family Resi-
dential District, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication as by law required.
SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned area is
hereby rescinded and the zoning classification of this area will be in accordance
with Section 2 of this Ordinance.
