AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Specialty Waste
Services, Inc. for the removal of asbestos material and
restoration of work areas at the Hampton Avenue offices (89111),
with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
with Specialty Waste Services, Inc. for the removal of asbestos
material and restoration of work areas at the Hampton Avenue
offices (89111).
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of
this ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as
are approved by the office of General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. The removal of asbestos material and
restoration of work areas at the Hampton Avenue offices are
necessary for the welfare of District employees and vital to the
operations of the District, and must proceed without delay, thus
creating an emergency within the meaning of the Plan. Accordingly,
this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 21, 1989.
