AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into an amendment to Contract E-489 with
Consoer, Townsend & Associates, Inc. for the cost of additional
engineering services for the design of the Bonfils Area
Interception System Contract 2 - Force Mains (87099) in the City
of Bridgeton, Missouri, with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 5907, adopted March 13, 1985,
authorized execution of said Contract E-489,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into an amendment to Contract E-489
with Consoer, Townsend & Associates, Inc. for the cost of
additional engineering services for the design of the Bonfils Area
Interception System Contract 2 - Force Mains (87099), in the City
of Bridgeton, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract amendment authorized in
Section One of this Ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and
conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of
the District.
Section Three. The provisions of the Clean Water Act
of the United States of America require that this project proceed
without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of
the Plan. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 12, 1989.
