HomeMy Public PortalAbout07836 O R D I N A N C E NO. 7836 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifteen Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($15,100.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in O'Connell No. 1918 (86007), in the City of Overland, Missouri. WHEREAS, said project is part of St. Louis County, Missouri's $5 Million Stormwater Bond Issue Program, and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 6994, adopted March 11, 1987, authorized the District's participation in said Program, and WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Twelve Thousand Four Hundred Eleven and 93/100 Dollars ($12,411.93), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement fees, and allowance for construction change orders is Two Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-eight and 07/100 Dollars ($2,688.07), and WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri has agreed to contribute Seven Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($7,550.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Fifteen Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($15,100.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in O'Connell No. 1918 (86007), in the City of Overland, Missouri. Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 1989. -2-
