AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-six Thousand Four
Hundred Dollars ($66,400.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Spencer 2200 Block (86008), in the City of
Overland, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Fifty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Eight Dollars
($54,908.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement fees, and
allowance for construction change orders is Eleven Thousand Four
Hundred Ninety-two Dollars ($11,492.00), and
WHEREAS, the City of Overland, Missouri has agreed to
contribute Thirty-three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($33,200.00)
toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such
funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the
University City Branch of River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty-six Thousand Four
Hundred Dollars ($66,400.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the
University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Spencer 2200 Block
(86008), in the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 9, 1989.
