AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty Million Eight Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($40,800,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital
Improvement Trust Fund for the project costs for the construction
of the Bissell Point Sludge Disposal Improvements (BP-9, C-89108)
and asbestos removal engineering services (E-674) and
construction, Federal Project No. C-290641, at the Bissell Point
Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Bissell
Point Sludge Disposal Improvements is Thirty-eight Million Seven
Hundred Sixty-one Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($38,761,300.00),
the estimated cost for asbestos removal is One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), and the allowance for utility
relocations, change orders, etc. is One Million Eight Hundred
Eighty-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($1,888,700.00), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.120 of the Plan of the
District, the appropriation effected herein will not result in a
deficit at the end of the current budget year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty Million Eight Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($40,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to pay the District's
share of the project costs for the construction of the Bissell
Point Sludge Disposal Improvements (BP-9, C-89108) and asbestos
removal engineering services (E-674) and construction, Federal
Project No. C-290641, at the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment
Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 9, 1989.
